Your Somiti subscription

Your subscription controls which Somiti plan your organization is on. You can see your current plan, switch to a different one, or cancel from the Subscription page.

For help setting up payments so your own members can pay dues, see Payments.

View your current subscription

  1. Go to Subscription in the sidebar.

You’ll see your current plan, its billing cycle, and the available plans you could switch to.

Change your plan

If you want more members, more events, or different features, you can switch plans at any time.

  1. Go to Subscription in the sidebar.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Pick the plan you want.
  4. Choose Monthly or Yearly billing. Yearly plans include a 10% discount.
  5. Click to confirm.

The change takes effect immediately. Stripe swaps you to the new plan and adjusts your billing going forward.

Note: If you’re upgrading mid-cycle, Stripe handles the proration automatically. You won’t be charged twice for the same period.

Cancel your subscription

Warning: Cancelling stops future billing. Your organization keeps access until the end of your current billing period, then loses access to Somiti.

  1. Go to Subscription in the sidebar.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Confirm the cancellation.

You’ll see a confirmation message and your access continues until the billing period ends. If you cancel by mistake, contact support before the period ends.

Manage billing details

To update your card, download invoices, or view billing history, use the Stripe billing portal.

  1. Go to Subscription in the sidebar.
  2. Click Manage Billing.

You’ll be sent to your Stripe billing portal. From there you can update your payment method, download past invoices, and review your billing history. The portal link takes you back to Somiti when you’re done.

Plan comparison

Each plan has different member limits, event limits, and features. To see what’s included on each plan:

  1. Go to Plans from the Subscription page, or visit the pricing page.

Plans have a fee that applies to payments you collect from your members. Check the plan details for the exact percentage before switching.

Subscription statuses

Status What it means
Active Your plan is current and billing normally
Cancelled You’ve cancelled; access continues until the period ends
Expired The billing period ended after cancellation; access is off
Past due A payment failed; Stripe will retry automatically

If your subscription shows Past due, update your payment method through the billing portal. Stripe retries the charge a few times before marking the subscription as cancelled.
