Here's exactly what you pay on every transaction
Two fees apply when a member pays through Somiti. Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ for card processing. Somiti charges a platform fee based on your plan: 2%, 1%, or 0.5%. Both come out of the payment, not your pocket.

Common questions
Is the Circle plan really free?
Yes. No trial period, no expiration, no credit card. If your club has under 50 members and 5 events a month, you never pay Somiti a thing. The only cost is Stripe's processing fee when members pay dues online.
How does Somiti make money on the Circle plan?
Through the 2% platform fee on payments. When a member pays $100 in dues, Somiti keeps $2 and Stripe keeps $3.20 for card processing. On the Community and Federation plans, the Somiti fee drops to 1% or 0.5%.
Can our members pay by cash or check?
Yes. Online payments go through Stripe (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover). For cash or check, you log the payment manually with a note and optional verification. No fees on offline payments at all. Everything shows up in the same payment history.
Can I switch plans?
Anytime. Upgrading is prorated for the rest of your billing cycle. Downgrading takes effect at your next billing date. Your data stays either way.
What happens if I hit my member limit?
We'll let you know when you're getting close. You can upgrade, or reach out and we'll figure it out together. We won't lock anyone out without warning.
Do you offer nonprofit discounts?
20% off for registered nonprofits and educational institutions. Email us with proof of status and we'll apply it to your account.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
If you downgrade to Circle, everything stays. If you cancel entirely, your data is available for 30 days so you can export what you need.
